To enhance the disaster response capabilities and preparedness awareness of faculty and staff, our university held the “Expanded Disaster Prevention Specialist Training” course from January 9 to 10, 2025 (Year 114). This intensive two-day training was organized with the support of certified seed instructors from the Ministry of the Interior, and involved 60 participating colleagues. The course emphasized the integration of practical exercises with theoretical knowledge, aiming to cultivate disaster prevention specialists equipped with real-world emergency skills.
Over the two days, participants strengthened their competencies by learning essential topics such as disaster risk assessment, emergency response procedures, and first aid techniques. Course content addressed both natural disasters—including earthquakes, typhoons, and fires—and man-made emergencies, with instructors conducting scenario-based simulations to help participants practice calm and effective decision-making during real crisis situations.
Following the first training session held on August 26–27, 2024, this second round brings the total number of trained staff to over half of the university’s personnel. With these collective efforts, our university continues to build a strong internal disaster response team, poised to contribute meaningfully to government and community-based resilience initiatives.
